What VLT means
VLT — Visible Light Transmission — is the percentage of light that passes through the film. 5% is very dark (almost black), 50% is light. Lower number = darker tint.

Sedans (cars)
- Windshield: top 5 inches only (or above the AS-1 line); no tint below
- Front side windows: 50% VLT or higher
- Back side windows: 35% VLT or higher
- Rear window: 35% VLT or higher
SUVs, vans, trucks (multi-purpose vehicles)
- Windshield: top 5 inches only
- Front side windows: 50% VLT or higher
- Back side windows: any darkness
- Rear window: any darkness
